Privacy Policy
Effective October 15, 2026
Patrick Law Group, P.A. ("the firm," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information collected through patricklawgroup.us and in the course of providing legal services. Information about clients is also protected by the professional confidentiality rules that govern Florida lawyers.
Information we collect
- Inquiry information: name, contact details, type of matter, names of other parties (for conflict checks), and the brief description you provide.
- Client information: information and documents you share during representation.
- Billing information: invoices, payments, and trust account records.
- Technical data: basic server logs such as IP address and browser type, used for security. The consultation checklist tool runs only in your browser and is not sent to us.
We do not use advertising trackers on this website.
How we use information
- To respond to inquiries and check for conflicts of interest;
- To provide legal services to clients;
- To bill and maintain trust accounting records as required by Florida Bar rules;
- To comply with legal and professional obligations.
Website inquiries are not confidential communications
Information sent through our website before an attorney-client relationship is established may not be treated as privileged or confidential, and could in some circumstances prevent us from representing another party. Please share only basic information until we confirm we can represent you.
Sharing
We don't sell personal information. We share client information only as needed to perform legal services (for example, with courts, opposing counsel, experts, or vendors such as court reporters), with your consent, or as required by law or professional rules. We also use service providers such as email and document storage that are bound to keep information confidential.
Retention
Client files are retained for the periods required by Florida Bar rules and good practice, generally at least six years after a matter closes, then securely destroyed. Trust records are kept as Bar rules require. Inquiries that don't result in representation are deleted within 24 months, except basic conflict-check information.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. Email is not perfectly secure; tell us if you'd prefer a different method for sensitive documents.
Your choices
You may ask to access or correct your information, or ask about deletion, by emailing support@patricklawgroup.us. Some records must be kept to satisfy professional obligations.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information online.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the effective date when we do.
